Meet Ivanka
With over 25 years in the interior design business, I still love my work, and I am excited for each new design project. I take my work very personally, and in turn, I take the homes and spaces of my clients very personally. It brings me joy to know that my clients are relaxing in and enjoying their specially designed rooms and spaces.
Located in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. IRL Drafting & Design services the regions of Simcoe, Muskoka, York & the greater Toronto area.
Ivanka Ljubicic, principal designer of IRL Drafting & Design has been working in high end residential interior design for over 25 years. Ivanka starting exploring her interests in design during high school where she studied fine art and was introduced to drafting and AutoCad. This early exposure led her to study Interior Design at Humber College where Ivanka graduated with honours.
A week after she completed her degree, Ivanka began working with a busy and esteemed residential interior designer where she received invaluable exposure and experience into every aspect of what it takes to be a successful interior designer and business owner.
Since those early days, Ivanka continued to work in many areas of Interior design that included furniture design and sales, residential Interior Design firms, as well as for custom home builders and cabinet makers. This hands-on experience further developed and strengthened Ivanka’s unique skills and passion for renovations, custom furniture and millwork design.
IRL Drafting & Design are known for their detailed design drawings and are often called upon by other design and construction professionals to collaborate and complete full design drawings. Including custom millwork drawings, space planning, lighting and electrical plans for new builds and renovations. Ivanka brings extensive experience in all aspects of a residential construction project including ordering of material, site visits, site measures, problem solving, and dealing directly with clients, suppliers and trades.
We enjoy being involved directly with their clients. We can seamlessly flow from the construction phase into selection of finishes, furnishings and accessories and are constantly working to develop what our clients needs are. Designing interiors that are personal, functional, family friendly and aesthetically pleasing brings us incredible satisfaction.

IRL Drafting & Design oversaw our complete bathroom renovations in the summer 2018. This included our ensuite bathroom & guest bath totalling $20,000. They were involved in the design, sundries order and getting reliable trades for install. Ivanka offered her design services in regards to vanity & tiles purchase and placement. Also with all the bathroom fixtures. She was very friendly & worked within our budget.
